Script – Final Post Production (with annotations if factual content)
- Final post production script with time code
- Per your production agreement deliverables exhibit, final transcripts are due at the same time as your program or podcast master. FOR PODCAST TRANSCRIPTS -> this is an ADA compliance deliverable and compliance with delivery and due date are to meet ADA requirements.
- Includes supers, Astons, lower third titles and texted graphics
- Annotations (factual content): Footnotes on resources used to confirm facts in the program (e.g: A medical journal used as a source for a health program). Two sources should be provided.
Send the annotated program script in draft form with program fine cut. For the final script, the working script including annotations should be sent with the final program to one of Discovery’s preferred transcription vendors.
An annotated script should include sources for facts, allegations, attributions to court records and transcripts, attributions to statements and in some instances attributions to the names of people and/or companies who are the source of any particular third party elements, among other things. The final annotated script is uploaded with all final program materials through the Producer’s Portal. Please check with your legal counsel if you need an example of an annotated script.
Please see the PREFERRED VENDOR section for transcription vendors with preferred rates for Discovery.
NOTE: Snap In Content must be included in all final master transcriptions.
