US Labor Report
- A report of all production labor expenses incurred while in the US
In order to gather information with regard to the American Jobs Creation Act, DCL may request “Final US Labor Information” to accompany the final cost report on shows where the bulk of the work is being performed in the US. This report should include two items:
- The total amount of actual compensation (including payroll taxes) paid out to any person in connection with the production, i.e., producers, directors, crew, editors, production staff, etc. for work performed in the USA.
- The total amount of actual compensation (including payroll taxes) paid out to any person in connection with the production, i.e., producers, directors, crew, editors, production staff, etc.
Please note that citizenship of the person(s), currency of payment, or location of production company or payee does not impact either calculation. Only the location is relevant for the first calculation and all compensation is included in the second calculation.
Alert your accountants to this requirement at the outset of production so that they can easily pull this information to include along with the final cost report.
