Velocity programming is diverse, intelligent and engaging, with series geared towards the automotive genre, with live events, real life-verite, historical and biographical programming.<\/p>\n
We hope that this site will assist you with the information that you need to submit programs to us. We do seek co-production and commission opportunities directly with producers each year. If your proposal is a co-production, in which you will remain responsible for financing the budget deficit through broadcasters or private funds, we are happy to consider your idea. If your co-production is funded by sponsorship or advertisers, we will need to see a list of these funders and their rights requirements along with your submission.<\/p>\n
If you choose to submit a co-production or commission, please include the production schedule, budget amount, financing plan, and any other relevant information in the submission. The more information you can provide, the more quickly we can process your proposal. While it\u2019s not required, it would be greatly beneficial for all parties to provide a video hyperlink, Quicktime file, or DVD reel, as well as bios for any potential talent. If you have never worked with a Discovery network in the past, a sample reel of your previous work is highly recommended.We are also accepting acquisition submissions (one-ups, specials, films, or series).<\/p>\n
All programs should be shot in HD; we do not accept upconverted material unless it is historical\/archive footage.<\/p>\n
Programming should be targeted to our current audience, skewing male, ages 25-54. Shows and talent are authentic and not over the top.<\/p>\n
Completed programs are evaluated based on:<\/p>\n
