TLC accepts nonfiction programming proposals for one-hour programs, limited series, and full prime-time\u00a0series.<\/p>\n

One- to two-page treatment<\/strong>\u00a0that describes the proposed program, story line, visual approach, acts, and production team<\/li>\n
Sizzle and\/or skype on talent<\/li>\n
Accurate research of topic, if applicable<\/li>\n
Production timeline<\/li>\n
Budget summary, as well as the level of funding sought from TLC<\/li>\n
Type of deal sought, whether commission or co-production (please include Co-Production partners, if applicable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Development Proposals:<\/strong>\u00a0Proposals must be submitted through the Producer\u2019s Portal for consideration. Proposals are accepted only from producers who agree to the guidelines set forth in Discovery’s Release Form. Proposals will be reviewed in the order in which they are received. If TLC has initial interest in your project, we will contact you for additional information.<\/p>\n
Please note that submission materials mailed to our offices will not be considered or returned, and materials will be recycled. Do NOT send originals.<\/strong><\/p>\n
Completed Programs<\/strong>\u00a0If you would like us to review a completed film, you may submit the film electronically to the acquisition review process. Should TLC express initial interest in your project, you will be contacted for additional information.<\/p>\n
