Discovery’s Covid-19 Guidelines have been updated and are posted in the Production Guide.\u00a0 \u00a0 Please also be sure to communicate all positive Covid cases to your Discovery Production Manager, even if it does not disrupt production.<\/p>\n
____________________________________________________________________________________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n *NEW* RECIPE FORM & INSTRUCTIONS<\/b><\/p>\n Please note that there is a new Recipe Form & Instructions posted in the Production Guide.\u00a0 \u00a0 The new form must be used going forward for all productions; the old form will no longer function in Discovery systems.\u00a0 \u00a0The key change is shown below – the ingredients & method are now split into 2 fields.<\/p>\n ___<\/strong>_________________________________________________________________________________________________<\/strong> PRODUCTION SCHEDULES – Please keep Delivery Dates updated!\u00a0 It is required and will reduce inquiries from Discovery!<\/strong><\/p>\n Reminder that delivery dates and shooting dates should be updated weekly and\/or when the Program Master File delivery dates change.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Critical dates include:<\/p>\n Long-form programs have\u00a07 key deliverables which must be delivered either before the Program Master File or on the same day.\u00a0\u00a0 The\u00a0Trailer\u00a0<\/em>must deliver 4 weeks prior to the Program Master File.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Snap In Content, Textless Material, Program Graphics Master, Final Script, Music Cue Sheet<\/em>, and the final\u00a0Rights Waiver Log<\/em>\u00a0must deliver\u00a0on the same day<\/u>\u00a0as the Program Master File.<\/p>\n ___<\/strong>_________________________________________________________________________________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n PRODUCTION STILLS DELIVERY – New Global Process Coming!<\/strong><\/p>\n In the coming weeks, all stills deliveries will follow the same process:\u00a0 the Production Stills & Log will be part of one form and the stills will be embedded in the form.\u00a0 \u00a0They get uploaded\u00a0and ingested in Discovery systems.\u00a0 Delivery via other methods will not be necessary although some projects currently in-flight may close out using the existing process.\u00a0 \u00a0More information to come with\u00a0training and templates.\u00a0 \u00a0(This notice does not apply to Food Network US, HGTV US, Cooking Channel, DIY, Travel Channel US, and Magnolia since this delivery method is already in place for\u00a0these channels.)<\/p>\n ____________________________________________________________________________________________________<\/strong> LEGAL ALERT – USE OF GRAFFITI AND STREET ART IN CONTENT<\/strong><\/p>\n Discovery Legal has observed an uptick in claims based on the inclusion of graffiti and street art in programs.\u00a0Like all original artistic works, graffiti\u00a0and other forms of street art are subject to copyright protection.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0A fleeting use of street art may be defended as\u00a0de minimis<\/em>.
