PRODUCTION STILL IMAGES – New process for producers delivering to International networks (already in place for US networks)<\/b><\/p>\n

Production Still Images and a new Photo Caption Log will be delivered together in a zip file and uploaded to the Producer’s Portal.\u00a0 \u00a0Producers will no longer upload to Google Drives or other storage methods.\u00a0 This new process takes effect immediately for any projects newly greenlit or in contract negotiation.\u00a0 \u00a0For projects with executed contracts that are currently in progress, please consult with your Production Management team and\/or the Photo Services team.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

INSTRUCTIONS:<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. When images for a given episode are ready for delivery, please complete the Photo Caption Log.\u00a0 \u00a0Template is posted in the Production Guide.<\/li>\n
  2. Images & Photo Caption Log should be together in a single .zip file, with no sub-directories<\/u>.\u00a0 \u00a0Filenames in the Photo Caption Log should match exactly the image file names, including file extension.\u00a0 Number of images in zip file and number of records in photo caption log should match.<\/li>\n
  3. Upload to Producer’s Portal under applicable episode, to the Deliverable Type “Production Stills & Log”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    PHOTO-SENSITIVE EPILEPSY REQUIREMENTS\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Producers are strongly encouraged to obtain PSE Certification.\u00a0 There are vendors listed in the Production Guide who can provide certification and there is a document deliverable in the Producer’s Portal which allows you to upload certification.\u00a0 \u00a0Please also see the PSE FAQ document located in the Global Technical Specifications section of the Production Guide.<\/li>\n
    • TRAVEL CHANNEL PRODUCERS:<\/u>\n
        \n
      • Paranormal programming often fails PSE tests which causes costly delays.\u00a0\u00a0To reduce these PSE fails:\n
          \n
        • Run PSE tests at rough cut and fine cut to identify issues and make corrections<\/li>\n
        • Run PSE test at master delivery and fix failures before uploading master<\/li>\n
        • Upload passing PSE certificate to the Producer\u2019s Portal.\u00a0 \u00a0Passing PSE certificate on the master delivered by the Producer supersedes any PSE failures indicated on the TE report by Discovery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          PRODUCTION BUDGET UPLOAD<\/strong><\/p>\n

            \n
          1. Check the Deliverable Status in the Producer’s Portal to see if your budget passed or was rejected.<\/strong> It usually only takes 30-60 seconds for the system to read the upload and update the status.\u00a0 Hover over the status and it will tell you the reason for the failure.\u00a0 \u00a0This will save you the trouble of having to go back and make corrections to a budget that failed a while ago.<\/li>\n
          2. \u00a0Use the correct Excel template, “<\/strong>Assumptions Only” or “Assumptions and Budget Details”.\u00a0 \u00a0 If you are a Movie Magic user, you must upload the XML export\u00a0+ the Assumptions Only template.\u00a0 If you are using Excel only, you must use the Assumptions & Budget Details template.<\/li>\n
          3. For Movie Magic Users,\u00a0<\/strong>always <\/u><\/b>upload\u00a0<\/strong>2<\/u><\/b>\u00a0files:\u00a0<\/strong>If your MM XML export\u00a0or<\/u>\u00a0Excel Assumptions fails and you make a correction, you have to re-upload\u00a0both<\/u>\u00a0files, even if one has already passed.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                Long-form programs have\u00a07 key deliverables which must be delivered either before the Program Master File or on the same day.\u00a0\u00a0 The\u00a0Trailer\u00a0<\/em>must deliver 4 weeks prior to the Program Master File.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Snap In Content, Textless Material, Program Graphics Master, Final Script, Music Cue Sheet<\/em>, and the final\u00a0Rights Waiver Log<\/em>\u00a0must deliver\u00a0on the same day<\/u>\u00a0as the Program Master File.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

                  • Super User<\/strong>\u00a0– Can manage company contacts & bio, can submit program proposals, can edit schedules, can upload deliverables, can open deliverables which have been restricted\u00a0<\/li>\n
                  • Basic\u00a0<\/strong>–\u00a0\u00a0Can submit program proposals, can edit schedules, can upload deliverables<\/li>\n
                  • Post House<\/strong>\u00a0– Can upload media deliverables only for specific projects controlled by Super Users<\/li>\n
                  • Read Only<\/strong>\u00a0– Cannot complete any of the above functions.\u00a0 Added only for basic contact information purposes.<\/li>\n
                  • Note<\/u>: Reminder that anyone uploading a document deliverable can mark it Restricted which allows the uploader\u00a0+ Super Users to open the document.\u00a0 \u00a0Other users can see that the document has been uploaded but cannot open it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
