IMPORTANT NOTES:
For all US-based productions: The audio track configurations in section 3.6 outline the only approved configurations for master delivery. While the 12-track and 16-track are the most common formats for original productions, including commissions and co-productions, you should consult with your network contacts to confirm which is preferred. Typically for unscripted originals, the 12-track format is the approved default. Any configurations outside of the 16-track or the 12-track are by exception only as of the release date of the technical specifications you are adhering to (for Tech Specs Version 6, the release date was June 28, 2021). *If you do not have a network exception after the release of the latest technical specifications to provide a configuration outside of the 16 or 12-track, you cannot provide an alternative configuration.*
For all productions: As of June 5, 2024, the Photosensitive Epilepsy Analyzer policy in section 2.1.8 has been updated. Please see: https://pmd.discovery.com/photosensitive-epilepsy-testing/ as this policy supersedes the text in section 2.1.8.
For Nordic territory based productions: The Global Tech Specs do not yet apply in full to the Nordic territory master deliveries.
