Discovery has partnered with Rev.com as our preferred field transcription vendor for all fully commissioned programs as well as co-productions with International rights. What does this mean?

Visit integrations.rev.com/discovery to explore all the benefits of our preferred vendor relationship. One important thing to note: Discovery will cap field transcription costs at $1.25/min in all budgets across all US networks.

How do you get started?

1. To begin, click “GET STARTED” on integrations.rev.com/discovery
  1. 1. If you are already an active Rev user…
      You need to submit a promo code (DSC20REV) and the name of the project you are currently working on to gain access to the Discovery+Rev partner benefits.
    2. If you are new to Rev…
      You can set up a Rev account in just a few minutes. You will also need to submit a promo code (DSC20REV) and the name of the project you are currently working on to gain access to the Discovery+Rev partner benefits.
2. Once your account is approved, you’ll receive the discounted rate of $1.25 per audio minute for human-generated, 99% accurate transcripts and guaranteed 24-hour turnaround with timestamps PLUS access to the “Discovery Field Transcript” template available exclusively for Discovery partners.
3. With this Rev account, you’ll also have access to Rev’s other services: human-generated captioning, foreign language subtitling, and automated live captions for Zoom Meetings.

Rev.com is Discovery’s preferred vendor for field transcriptions only. For As Broadcast/Final Transcriptions please visit the FINAL TRANSCRIPTIONS preferred vendor page on the producer’s portal.

You are under no obligation to have field transcriptions/interview transcriptions done, but if you do have them made we do require you to upload them as a deliverable.

While you are not required to use Discovery’s preferred vendors, Discovery will only honor these preferred vendors’ rates when approving production budgets. Any transcription costs above Discovery’s approved preferred vendor rates will be the responsibility of the production company.
