Green Production Guide
The Green Production Guide was established in 2010 as part of an initiative to help reduce the entertainment industry’s carbon footprint and environmental impact by providing production companies with guidance on how to implement sustainable practices. This site offers tools and resources such as the Production Environmental Accounting Report (calculating a production’s carbon footprint); the Production Environmental Actions Checklist (detailing best practices for each department on a film and television production); Sustainable Production Infographics (a helpful visual guide to review best practices in the office, on location, and on stage); and sample e-memos, signs and flyers to help communicate efforts to cast & crew. Sustainability is important to Discovery, and we hope that providing easy access to these tools will further our collective goal of reducing our industry’s environmental impacts across the globe.
